Øystein Dahl fishes out of Vadsø. He fishes with his 31-feet long vessel called “EXEN”. Øystein has been a fisherman for a total of well over 10 years. He fishes whitefish in an open group for small coastal vessels and has a king crab quota. “Exen” is equipped for line, cheat and pots operation. Øystein has previously run a sports shop, after he sold it, has became a fisherman. He likes to have a life out at sea and the freedom to be a fisherman. He is a trapper, where hunting is an important part of life. He has been a bear hunter and is now an active elk hunter. When not fishing and hunting, he upgrades his family’s fishing boats, his own boat, his son’s boat and his daughter-in-law’s boat. In other words, he has no problems filling his days.
