Leif Egil comes from Selnes in Balsfjord and for the past 33 years he has been living in a beautiful place called Vadsø, up in the north of Norway. He has been a fisherman for 39 years. First he has been fishing on a trawler along the coast of Greenland. Later on, he fished in a fishery zone around an island Jan Mayen. In 1993 he bought his own boat and is now fishing with nets, hand lines and line. Leif Egil is concerned about nature conservation. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor activities, all-year-around cottage life and a fresh-water fishing.
