Roger comes from a small place in the North of Norway called Lakselv. He is an experienced fisherman who has fished for cod, saithe and haddock with nets and longlines. Recently, he has begun to fish for king crabs. He thinks this is different and much more exciting since crabs must be caught using pots. Alongside job as a fisherman, Roger is working as a firefighter at the fire department. Before Roger became a fisherman, he worked as a technician. In his spare time, he likes to go hiking and hunting.
Finnmark, – the last point linked to land towards the North Pole - has an arctic climate with pure and cold water all year round. In the summer, the sun shines all night and winters are dark with rough weather conditions and nights with fantastic northern lights.
