Willy comes from a small and charming place in the North of Norway called Varangerbåt. Before he became a fisherman, he was a very skilled carpenter and has helped to build several important buildings in Finnmark. When he got health problems he had to leave his carpentry profession. Instead, he began to fish for king crabs. He has now been a fisherman for five years. Willy is an innovative fisherman and he now tries to fish for cod with an ocean-pots where the bait is illuminated by a lamp. Bait attracts krill, which further attracts cod into the trap.
